This video clip demonstrates how the 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII opens it’s doors. Yea, 1993.. Yes, it’s 2007.. Oh, we had this awesome technological break through 14 years ago and people forgot about it? Oh.. Too bad.. Car doors are really heavy and cumbersome to open.

The Human Car is a people-powered street legal “car.” The car is powered by its passengers performing a rowing motion on the handle infront of you and is steered simply by leaning.
When someone tells me about some hot new car technology I think more cylinders, more horsepower, more gas-guzzling, more deadly. The Human Car is the exact opposite of my idea of a futuristic car. Kudo’s to the creators for completely ripping off the Flinstones car. This thing looks totally safe too.
